What Our Patients Say
37-year-old female patient with right side neck, shoulder blade and arm pain. This had been going on for 1 week. Examination showed weakness in the triceps and an increased pain with extension of her neck. This is a classic pain pattern for a C5/6 neck disc herniation. Primary treatment was long tract nerve mobilization of the radial nerve. The patient was released from treatment after 6 treatments, pain free.
This case needs additional thoughts. If this patient did not progressively improve with treatment, she would have been referred for an MRI of her neck. Depending on the findings, this would have guided me towards a surgical referral
Female patient age 50 with a headache lasting a week. Pain started in the back of her end and radiated to the top of her head and in the back of her eyes. This is a typical pain pattern for an irritation of the greater occipital nerve. Treatment included Active Release Technique to loosen the suboccipital muscles followed by gentle spinal manipulation. 80% improvement after her 1st treatment.
